so I have a question for a yote gun that I’m building 224 Val or 22 arc now this is going to only run 62 Eld-vt bullets at 3100 I have brass and dies in both already and this is in a AR with a proof barrel probably 20 inch .So if can run the Val harder due to less bolt issues same twist and same volume in case any reason why not?

I doubt you will get many responses as the day (minutes?) of the 224V has passed. That said, the 224V was "designed" to shoot heavier (>80gr.) 22 bullets in the AR platform to improve ballistics against the wind. (I use the term "designed" loosely as I believe the 224V was designed on a bar napkin close to a TGIF closing time at a bar near the Federal Ammunition HQ.) Shooting only 62 gr. bullets is 1) a waste of the cartridge's potential, and 2) likely to give poor precision as most 224V chamber reamers will leave you with too much bullet jump with a 62gr. bullet. Additionally, the 224V has been demonstrated to be finicky/difficult to precision tune. (Took me 5 powders and six bullets and about 8 months.) The 22 ARC will likely give you far better precision performance with 62 gr. bullets. Although I would go with the 6ARC . . .
BTW - I love my 224V (but would NEVER build another).

Both will get the job done but if your getting a proof barrel your only option is 22 arc that I know of. The reports that I have seen on the 62 eldvt have not been very impressive on coyotes. The 75 eld on the other hand is a proven killer. You should be able to get 2900-3000 fps with the 75. Load to safe pressure and the arc/grendel bolt is not an issue. I havent messed with the 22 arc yet because my Valkyrie barrel still has plenty of life left but will probably do a 22 arc when it’s toast. If you do go with the Valkyrie stock up on h4895. It seems to be the magic powder for the Valkyrie.
