Cannot find any 230 Hybrids anywhere in Aus so am looking for an alternative bullet until supplier
gets a Berger delivery . Rifle is 300 NM Improved 28 inch 9 twist . Anyone shot the 225 ELDM
transonic ? Longest I can shoot within 3 hours is just over 2500 yards : I have a great load for
the 215 Hybrid which seems fine under 2k , but the wheels fall off over 2k , so it’s 230 Hybrid
or something else for that distance .

We'll find out this weekend. I'm taking 225 ELDM's out to 2200yds on Saturday. Targets will be at 1516, 1675, 1867, 1951, 2083 and 2208yds.

They've been dead on at 1000yds with a .367 G7 BC but that is still well inside the supersonic zone. Will report back.

had a good outing and was pleased with how the 225 ELD’s shot. Got a cold bore hit at 1604yds, then several hits at 1516 and 1675 which were all in the transonic zone. Overall was good enough for 4th place (out of 15).

A G7 of .370 was pretty spot on for me.

I didn’t get any hits past 1675. Was close and was dancing around the targets but couldn’t connect. Everyone was having issues with the wind (22mph, gusting to 30mph quartering wind) and very few people got hits at 2200yds in those conditions. I think only a 50BMG, 416 Barrett and 338 LMR were the only cartridges to score impacts.

All in all, I was pleased with the 225 ELDM’s and will use them for another match in July, hopefully with less wind.

Rifle Specs:
Remington 700 LR barreled action
26” Factory BBL, 1:10 twist
Manners PRS-2
Calvin Timney Elite
225 ELDM, Noller Brass, CCI-250, Retumbo
2784fps

Well done getting your CBS in those conditions . Near impossible to dope the wind at that angle
and speed , doesn’t seem that long ago near a mile was 338 and up distance . Projectiles have
come a long way in the last decade.

I have shot them at and past 2000 yards a few times now. Longest is 2350 and it was stable.
