who makes 1 or what might work. possum hollow does not. have heard wallanchors,but all i have seen have a thru and thru hole which would leak, any ideas?

A cork, I would suggest a silicon cork assortment.

Canning wax.
Warm until soft, shape to fit, push into place.
Cleaning rod will push it clear when finished.
Think wax golf tee.
 
I use foam ear plugs, but I stand the barrel in a plastic can. I found the foam to 'soak thru' after overnite or so.

Got these on Amazon from a buddy's recommendation... the black ones seem to be the right size

Same here as joecamel. I use these. I just crammed one in the chamber of my 457 to get an idea of how long it needed to be. Popped it out and lopped some off the fat end. Stuck back in there with some sticking out and closed the bolt. Put an Al rod in the barrel and filled it with cleaner. Worked good, no leaks.
