Just bought a new 700 XCR Tactical in .223

It has a 1:9 twist. Anyone have some good load recipes they would share? I would like to go with a heavier bullet for long range energy, and coyote hunting. I bought this rifle to get used to it and long distance shooting, as I will be shooting a 300 WM in the same rifle for long distance shooting.

Thanks for your input.

The 69 grain loads have been spot-on for me with varget and aa2460.

5 pages of loads

For varmints I like 25.4 IMR 4320 and 52bthp (speer, nosler, sierra doesn't matter). Heavy stuff I haven't decided yet but it seems to be a tie between 25 varget and 24 aa2460 for 69 grains and 24 varget for 77 all at 2.25 COAL.

edit 23.5 AA2230 showed a lot of promise with 69 grainers too.

With the SMKs, 25gr of RL15 for the 69s and 24.1gr for the 77s have always done the job for me, but I never shoot a .223 out past around 300 yards. I know that people are capable of going farther with a .223, I just prefer something bigger for longer than 300.
