So I recently picked up a Tikka CTR in 260AI. I have never worked with anything AI Before.

Question 1: fire forming brass. Should just be load and shoot correct? Was planning on using something on the bottom end of 260 data? Should fire form all right?

Question 2: I was recommended to use H4350 as the go to powder for 260 AI. But I having trouble finding 260 AI load data. Anyone have any load data sources or powder recommendations.

Comments, this rifle is gonna be the bees knees.

heres a start for you.... http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek046.html

i had a barrel set back and chambered in 260AI...it only lasted 850 rounds.
i dont remember actual charge weights but 4831sc seemed to be the happy medium...H1000 was very accurate but slow...RL-17 19 22 and norma MRP all shot pretty good and was fast with RL-17 being the fastest and most accurate.
personally i would not do another 260AI...IMHO the gains made are not worth the extra work and short-er barrel life but it was fun.

Your post pretty well mirrors Terry Cross’s that was on AccurateShooter yrs ago. I would try 4064 also. Thats what I use in my 260’s with 123-130gr bullets. 260 is one cartridge AI’ing doesnt help much.
