Lapua brass: 243 necked up and neck turned. avg weight 177.5gns
Nosler brass: 260 Rem, neck turned. avg weight 168gns

Hornady A-Max 140, hBn coated
H4350: 41.5gns

Nosler = 2707fps
Lapua = 2745fps

POI difference at 100 not determinable.

Shooting at 700 yards POI difference, .5 MOA.

Weight differences ARE an indicator of volume differences. That's just physics. What the volume differences do to your velocity is another mater entirely. Comes under the heading of The Art and Practice of Hand Loading.

Fridays agenda was similar but for my 300WSM. Remington vs. Winchester. Same weight range difference, same velocity range difference. ~10gns and ~50fps.

Re: 260 brass ?

I get 2824 from my 140 A-max in lapua 260 brass, my best load to date, subing in wihchester 7mm-08 brass I have to add about .5 grains more powder to reach the same velocity with H4350. Its around 30-50fps slower with out the extra powder.

I haven't tried remington brass...

Re: 260 brass ?

I noticed about 25 to 30 fps difference between lapua and remington in my 260. Both using 41 grains of h4350. I also had pressure signs with the lapua brass with more powder.
