Range Report 260 gain twist

I keep hearing Frank talk about gain twist barrels. I’m sure there are others so hopefully they will chime in. I think his is 8.4-7.7? And I know he usually shoots Prime. If I was normally going to shoot FGMM 142s, would that change what I wanted?
