if i do a 260 improved with a 30 degree shoulder vs the ackley with the 40 degree shoulder will i still have to fireform or just run them thew the redding dies?

Correct. However, 6.5SLR does not provide a case capacity increase over 260 like the 260-30° and 260AI do.
