what is the .260's oal with a 142 smk .... will it fit in a B/O DM and still be loaded with bullet at neck shoulder junction and still fit in a detach mag
It depends on the rifle. The 10 round BO DM are about 2.860 max length. The 5 rounders are longer at about 2.90". The 142 will seat below the neck shoulder junction to fit in the mag. I'll measure some when I get home for you if you want. I seat my 140 VLD's to 2.827", with a little room to spare in the mag.

Im using the Lapua 139gr Scenars seated at 2.822" and AI mags in my 260. They seat down past the shoulder body junction which makes a compressed load. No signs of pressure what so ever. The 139 scenars and 142 MK are about the same length.
I have seated my 260 loads with the 142's @ 2.820 in my rig and had really good luck with it.
As a matter of fact I cleaned the board at the last 600 yard F-Class match up here with a 22x X and 18x 10... I have done it twice in the past year now. I am a big fan of the .260.
