Waiting for my barrel to get here for a .260 I'm building and I need some good loads. I picked these bullets as they have a very high BC. for their weight and they won't take up as much powder space as the 140gr. Bergers I have for my 6.5-284. I have on hand some H1000, H4831sc, RL22 and Magpro. I'd be willing to go buy whatever I need though.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Bottom line: the light bullets (123's, etc) a bit flatter shooting, yes. But if you are are concerned with BC's and wind drift just go with the heavies (139s,142s). You will thank yourself later.

I considered the same for a short time til I shot the heavier bullets at range, they are better.

Well this rifle will only be used out to 500 yds. I have quite a few other rifles to shoot farther. So, I'm not real sure that I need the heavies. I also realize that I could probably just shoot a flat base bullet out to 500yds and do fine. I totally understand what you're saying though as I shoot the 140's in my 6.5-284, 180's in the 7mag and 300's in the Edge.
