I have a TRG42 without a barrel that I'd like to turn into something useful. I also have a .264 1-8.7 Barlein barrel without a home. I like shooting 6.5mm's and I like shooting PRS. I was thinking of chambering the barrel for .264 Win Mag because I have the 300 Win Mag magazine and bolt face available.
Now the question... has anyone heard of running a .264WM in a 20-21" long barrel configuration? I'm thinking I could still attain 3000-3100fps and have a nice short rifle to put my TBAC Ultra 9 on. Does anyone know if that's a possible velocity and what load it could take to get there? Lastly, does anyone have a 264WM reamer they're willing to part with?
