This is the new cheaper Gunwerks GRB action that they just came out with ($750 price tag!!). Its pretty much a copy of a stiller Tac 300. only difference is the dual cocking cams for the firing pin, making it super easy to open the bolt after firing pin fall. Tenon threads are 1.062"x 18tpi. .300" recoil lug. side bolt release. regular rem bottom metal and mag box. scope bases I used are the Hawkins Hybrid one piece 25moa pinned to action. this is a very nice action for the price.

I chambered this one in 264win mag match with .177" freebore which puts a 140hybrid right at the neck shoulder junction at .030" off. I used an Xcaliber SS 1-8" twist 5R #4 barrel finished at 26.5" long. this is my first Xcaliber barrel and I think it turned out nice.

Stock is a grayboe outlander dipped in Kuiu Vias camo

Very nice. I've used a few of the Excalibur barrels for myself and a couple friends. They have all been nice and everyone has been a shooter. Granted we handled for everything so far, but all easily capable 1/2 moa

I hand load for everything as well. This is the second 264 win I have built.

I have a ladder test loaded up with 135gr JLK's and RL26 to see how much speed I can put to her!

All in all I'm happy with the way it turned out. The Gunwerks action is very smooth and I will be purchasing more of them for builds after using this one.

Nice setup!
I know this is an old thread but I'm curious as to what action scope rail that is made for. I have a GRB myself and I would prefer to have a one piece 20 MOA rail on it. Does it fit the TAC 300 measurements?

I was interested in those actions and was looking around the net for reviews. Seems a lot of people were turned off by the thread measurements. I'm assuming any smith worth his salt can thread a barrel any pitch right? Any trueing needed on these or are they good right out of the box?

My smith loved this action, especially for the price. The action comes with a card listing the specs for tenon threads for whoever works on it. No trueing needed, tolerances are tight, and the bolt is nice and smooth. In other words: Good to go right out of the box!
