264 WM

ANYONE SHOOTING A 264 WM ?
I had shoulder surgury and at present can't shoot my 30's or 338's because of recoil. I am looking for a longrange caliber with less recoil than what I have now, that can handle elk out to 800 yards. I am looking at the 6.5 caliber because of good BC bullets and I think my shoulder might be able to handle the 140gr bullets. I would like opinions please.

...methinks you should look into the 6.5 Creedmore or .260 Rem...

The last time I shot a .264 win mag it was a nice hard rap, not flinch hard but it was not unnoticeable like my .218bee or .223rem. Id compare to 308 or 06 maybe a tad sharper... great cal that got a bad rap like the swift...
