Need some direction locating proper .281 front/rear takedown pins for BRO LR308 pattern lower. Searched here, Larue, Knight's Brownells and web, as well as a very non specific BRO website, to little avail, though did find that Sr25 pins might work, but don't see them available anywhere. Other issue is that front pin will sit on raised 'hubs' on both sides of lower and would have to be at least 1.5" wide from under head to pin end. My Armalite AR10 lower is only 1.315" wide in same area. I'm stuck for the moment, and will reach out to Black Rain tomorrow, but was hoping for a lead from the assembled wisdom here. Thanks.

I have found some precision ground shoulder bolts at the hardware stores that work for DPMS LR308, and smaller ones for AR15 rifles. It might be worth checking to see if they have them in .281 size. Between metric and inch pattern, there should be one that will fit...if it is only a couple thousandths large, turn it down with some emery cloth using a drill to spin it. I found that by using a piece of wood or micarta to back the paper, I get more even pressure over all the pin..using fingers can work, but isn't quite as precise because you don't get even pressure over the entire surface.
