I’m planning to use Redding competition bushing dies to load ammo with (ordered them yesterday). I usually use a bushing .002 under loaded cartridge dimensions. Do I need to go tighter or use a crimp die due to recoil? I believe this rifle will recoil harder than any other rifle I’ve used bushing dies with previously, but feel like it will probably be fine. Rifle should finish out around 8.5 pounds with scope, etc.
I load ammo for a friend of mine with a 300 win mag and we use a Lee factory crimp die with it - but we don’t use bushing dies for it. Wouldn’t a factory crimp die defeat the point of using bushings?
