Would a #3 barrel look wierd in a #5 inlet stock? Have the stock already but was wanting to go lighter this time.

Swampbuck,

You could always go with a #5 and get it fluted. Just a thought. HaHa.
Regards, Paul.

Re: #3 barrel in #5 inlet stock

You could always bed the barrel to fill the gap... then open it back up a little. Just some elbow grease is needed.

Re: #3 barrel in #5 inlet stock

Thanks Plinker. I just got a great deal on a #3 so I'm gonna give it a try.

Re: #3 barrel in #5 inlet stock

If you can do a thin wrap of the barrel before bedding you won't have to open it up at all. Thick plastic like used as drop cloths for painting. Just have to have it smooth on the bottom.

Re: #3 barrel in #5 inlet stock

10 mil tape is what you need, wrap your barrel and bed that bitch. You can get it at HD or Lowes in the plumbing section.
