Gunsmithing 30-378 wby bolt face

quick question can a rem 700 mag bolt face be opened up for a bolt face for a 30-378 wby, and can a std bolt face be opened that much as well????

Both the 338 Lapua and the 30-378 both share the same head diameter. Since Remington chambers the 338... I am sure someone will be along to say yeah or nay.

Would the OAL of the Weatherby prevent it from being used in the Remy action?

If you are going to spend that much modifying a bolt face, new extractor, et. al., just buy a custom action that will take the cartridge and not be stressed beyond design limits. JMHO
