So far, the most common weight bullets in the 300 BLK OUT are the 110 V-max, 125 Nosler BT, and the 208 A-max (subsonic). If you could have another bullet weight, what weight and type of bullet would it be? 130, 150, 175, 180 grain??? Plastic tip, BTSP, SP, BTHP, solid copper?

Here's some velocities that they would run-

110 V-max - 2370 fps (confirmed)
125 Nosler BT - 2150 (confirmed)
150 Soft Point - 2000 fps (estimated)
155 A-max - 1950 fps (estimated)
168 BTSP - 1800 fps (estimated)
178 A-max/BTHP - 1750 fps (estimated)

Tell me what you think and what you would use them for (hunting, plinking, varmint, defense, etc.)?

Re: 300 Blackout- what weight bullet would you like?

Hey Steve,

I have the 110 Barnes Tipped TSX and the 220 SMK loads. You will need a faster twist than the common 1:8" for the 240 SMK. But that is a good option! Do you know what twist will be needed to stabilize it?

Re: 300 Blackout- what weight bullet would you like?

"7 twist is needed for the 240 SMK...but according to rsilvers, the new AAC barrels are coming with a 7 twist instead of an 8."

Its the most accurate load that I've tried so far in my 16" 1/8 twist shillen ar, but pricey.

I want to use whatever bullets best match with the 300 BLK reticle in the leupold scope.

Re: 300 Blackout- what weight bullet would you like?

So far I have ammo for the 110 V-max, 110 Barnes Tipped TSX, and 125 Nolser BT in full power loads.

For subs, I have the 208, 220 SMK, 225 BTHP, and 220 RN (for bolt guns).

I'll add the 110 Black Tip Barnes, 150 grain GMX and the 240 SMK. Let me know if there are any others you'd like to see! Thanks for the feedback!

lou, does the 240 stabilize with a 1:8"? I've seen some of the 225 bthp have a slight key hole at 100 yards.
