Although he is not very clear, I do believe that he is looking for a .30 cal can.

I hate to assume anything...so with the information given I have given my best advice.

Ya it may be the best option for subsonic ammo but NOT for supersonic ammo.
The AAC 762SDN-6 is you best option to run both types of ammo. So you need to assume he is going to shoot both types of ammo at some point.

Thats a pretty broad question. What's your setup? What variation of ammo will you shoot? What is your budget?

Not really. They offer a full line of ammo for the 300 BLACKOUT. This is not a whisper.
They have already had it approved to join the other NATO rounds and its being produced in several variants for the military and police.

We saw a 18" barreled Remington 700 chambered in this caliber take accurate hits out to 400 yards with supersonic BTHP ammo. It had plenty of juice left to get out further.

I was running some numbers on this yesterday. With a 20 moa base and a 220 smk at 1020 fps, you would need ~30 mils of elevation to get to 600. Sorry I don't have the exact numbers available, but I was looking to see if I could get there with a Viper PST 1-4. I can, but the target would have to be pretty huge.

Re: 300 BLK Suppressor?

In theory it's possible. I have a PST on my 8 inch, 0 cant mount. At 979 fps, I would need 26.8 mills and 134 clicks. I have 145 clicks of elevation available after I zeroed. The reality is that the round would be coming in at such a steep angle that their really isn't a lot of room for error. This would be a very difficult shot to say the least. I think I will stick to 110 super sonics for the distance work.

Re: 300 BLK Suppressor?

Although I have a 338 can that I am waiting for my form 4 on, I have been looking hard at the take apart Liberty Mystic 9MM. It will do all these calibers:
22 Hornet
22 K Hornet
218 Bee
222 REM - 16" BBL
223 REM - 16" BBL
30 PPC - Subsonic
30 Carbine
32-20
357 MAG
221 Fireball
32 S&W Long
32 H&R Magnum
380
9X18
9X19 (Base Caliber)
38 Super
38 Special
38 S&W
357 Max - Subsonic
338 Spectre
300 BLK
300 Whisper
300/221
308 Win- Subsonic

Plus it is take apart so any form of rimfire is fine.

Another thing that is cool is it has different adapters for direct threads, bosters, or triad adapter.

Anyway, I am trying to get cans that will go on a bunch of different hosts. This one gives you a ton of options.

However, its still kinda new and I haven't heard reports of sound yet.

Re: 300 BLK Suppressor?

Ty...

Stop looking at it and start listening to it...

Load up a .223 and run it through, finish up with a .221 Fireball and then please report back.

This is a hole....these bullets can go through the hole...

This is a suppressor it is there to make things quiet...

I'm with 762...

I hear ya, but in wild attempt at being helpful I thought I could enlighten the OP to a new product that is extremely versatile in its uses. It can be used in a 9MM, .22 LR, 30 cal subsonic (or super in the case of the 300 BLK), or even a 5.56 that has a barrel longer than 16". It can be cleaned by the end user, or swap between a pistol with a buffer, or any size of direct threads.

Not everyone can afford to have a purpose built suppressor for every weapon they own, and as stated it is a newer product and I have not heard it yet. Having said that, I have never heard of anyone knocking a Liberty Suppressor.

Re: 300 BLK Suppressor?

Monoblocks have been around for a long time. It is one of the ways to completely avoid the process of welding individual baffles into the stack/envelope. That welding is by far the most expensive cost in high end suppressors. SOme companies do everything and anything to avoid it. Some believe that all monoblock cores come at a steep price. When one has to create a monoblock, one cannot access the facing of the baffle to create conical cuts, core radius, angular directional gas jets or even purging holes. Same goes for the baffel rears. What one can do with a monoblock is what one sees for those that use them. I am not a big fan of them and have yet to hear one that even comes close to the most advanced swirl facing concical baffels. I also beleive that the best cans are deep penetration welded, not screwed together, but sealed.

Nobody needs a can that comes apart for centerfire cartridges and in, order to get the most precise tolerances, some believe that they should be avoided. Filthy is best for centerfire. Centerfire? Perhaps, depending on ammo used and stack design. Centerfire? No.

There are many cans swap out the rear threads.

There are many cans that swap out booster (Neilson) assemblies, either spring weight or porting. SOme even will swap out to static mounts for MGs.

Reminds me of the XXX Warrior or better yet, a plastic spork.

Sure you can use it for almost everything. But watching me eat soup off one is a laugh, just like me trying to cut something with the side of it. But I can use it for almost everything. There I struggle off in the corner while I watch those with both a spoon and fork with envy...

I use a TBAC 30P-1 and couldn't be happier with the results on my 300 BLK upper.
Got the 30P-1 primarily for my precision bolt gun.
Last summer I got the subsonic bug and quickly realized that doing so with my 308 was a loosing battle.
That's when I started my 300 Fireball / 300 Whisper project.
Just so happened that right when I was about to pick up my barrel, the 300 BLK was released.

Got inspired by a 300 Fireball build that Zak Smith did with a PRI tube and a 30P and decided to put a MK12 Spin on it.

Had lots of fun with this project and absolutely enjoy shooting it.

I was considering a good stout FUCK YOU, but instead will admit that that is some funny shit.

Anyway, to each his own. I'd love to have a purpose built can for every weapon I own, but I for one have over 50 and only 3 cans. I like shooting suppressed, but simply can't afford it on everything.

Anyway, I'll bite the bullet and buy one. We will see if its as useless as the Pontiac Aztec, or worse the dreaded spork.

Seriously.

I've got a SWR Trident I've put almost 1k full power rifle rounds through. Its performance is known.

Does that mean I would suggest anyone ever do that? No.
But it doesn't make the Mystic a better can. In reality it isn't anything special.

Fun fact. Most 9mm subgun cans will handle rifle rounds. True story....

Re: 300 BLK Suppressor?

Wow Glocker, I can't believe that you would think to use a can not specifically made for that rifle and caliber.

That was nice. Sounded great to me.

This is why I want to guy the Mystic. I can put it on the M11/9 with Lage upper that I am in the market for. Rip through a couple hundred 9mm full auto, then slide the Lage 22lr kit on. Dump a brick of 22s with the same can. Go home take it apart for cleaning, and do it again. The fact that I could use it on my 300 BLK or one of my 223s is just a bonus.

I could give a shit less if a purpose built can is quieter.

Re: 300 BLK Suppressor?

It only seems fitting to use an AAC Suppressor with their round. I got to test fire my 12 inch 300 AAC upper today along with my 7.62 SDN-6 and some 220gr subsonic. I was truly amazed. It sounds like a paintball gun. Last round in the mag (when the bolt locks back) is crazy quiet. Its alot of fun and I plan on using the full power rounds for brush hunting deer. Cant wait for the single shot Handi Rifle to be released. Here is a few pics

Re: 300 BLK Suppressor?

I have a bolt 300blk and a AR 300blk. My Cyclone is quite on the AR and rediculous on the model 7. It's my first and only can, but I'm very happy with it. Go to 300blktalk.com
