I am considering putting a muzzlebrake on my 300 RUM. I am curious which are recommended. I do not want anything pointing at the ground as I dont want the dust blowing.
Thanks.
+1 for Nate Dagley's V-port brakes (www.straightshotgunsmithing.com). Tame about any lion and look damn cool to boot! I am installing one of Jim See's Center Shoot Rifles Muscle Brake's on my new build. Very effective brake that also is appealing to look at on the end of your barrel, IMO. 3 or 4 port that looks similar to Kirby Allen's "Pain Killer" muzzle brakes, which are extremely effective on large bores.
I'm shooting a GAP built 300 RUM that had a Badger Thruster on it. I do not reconmend this break. I replaced it with a APA fat Bastard. The rifle has less felt recoil then my .308 crusader now. Bothe rifles weigh about the same so it's all in the break. Donald
