300 Saum resized to 7mm saum

I picked up some 1x Remington 300 Sarum brass to neck down for my 7mm SAUM. After necking them down the case length is 2.013" I noticed the max case length is 2.035" and trim to length is 2.025. So is 2.013" to short ? If so is there anything I can do ? Thanks.

No, just load it and shoot. It will be 2.025 in no time, the neck is plenty long to be short trimmed.

Trimming sucks the most while reloading, so I usually exceed max, then short trim to 2.020 to bypass doing it. The neck on this case is so long, one still has the advantages of it, even at your length.

I knew the longer neck was one advantage over the wsm but I want to check with someone with more experience before In tried it. Thanks again Milo.

Be sure to check the loaded diameter of the necks v/s the fired diameter. Sizing down thickens the necks. Depending upon your chamber dimensions you might run into pressure issues.
