.300 Savage Reloading questions

My Grandpa gave me a Rem 700 series bolt in .300 savage before he died. It's difficult to find ammo for it and it is expensive as a result. I've been researching and looking at reloading, with this round at the top of my list.

Anybody familiar with reloading .300 savage? I was wondering if dies for a similar .30 would work as well. I know the .308 and actually the 7.62 were derived from this round. But even those two have different case lengths, neck and shoulder diameters, etc...

Thanks,
Troy

Re: .300 Savage Reloading questions

I think you would be best served in purchasing the proper dies & a reloading manual. They will list all the things you need (powder, bullets & primers) to start shooting.
