Gunsmithing .300 win mag bolt face...?

What modifications do I have to do to make a magnum bolt face fit a .300 win mag? Or will it fit just like that?

Ive been told not to get ahead of myself. What action is the bolt from? What caliber is it originally chambered in?

its only a bolt, no action. all midway tells me is that it has a magnum bolt face.

The 300 WM will fit in the standard "Magnum" bolt face. The considerations that Kenda is talking about I suspect are in regards to the WSM and RUM based cases because of the rebated rim and larger bodied case web which can cause issues under certain circumstances.

The 300 WM does not have a rebated rim that will interfere like that.
