I'm sure this will be a silly question (but go easy on my)... I recently purchased a new rifle, first "precision rifle", that has the neck chambered at 0.340".
I was told, in order to provide clearance when loading rounds, the finished OD of the cartridge neck should be 0.338" to give 0.002 between the cartridge neck and the chamber.
When I look at the dimensions of a 300 Win Mag cartridge, it shows the neck OD of 0.340".
So, the question is.........how do I reduce the neck size???
Redding Type S Dies with a 338 bushing?
Case neck trimming?
I'm sure there is A LOT of expertise out there......appreciate any input.
