I'm currently using up a few boxes of 208 Amaxes in a 300 WM, and am jumping them ~.015. I have several boxes of 212's to try when I use up the old stock, and am wondering if the "new" boolitz also shoot well jumping a bit too? Also, does anyone have any pet loads with RL 26 and 208-210-212 grain bullets , or do you primarily use H1000/ Retumbo or another powder. Thanks.

I jumped the 212’s over .100” and had wonderful results. My 208’s like it closer —I’m at .010” off behind a mild charge of h1000. 75.2 grains in a 24” Bartlein gives me a little over 2900 FPS with bughole Accuracy.

Very close to my current load with the 208's, I'm running 75.5 gr H1000, CCI 250, WW brass, in a 26" Broughton Barrel, very accurate out to 1200 yards, trying to stretch it to a mile before too long.

With a 26” Barrel I suggest nothing slower than H1000.

Also so I suggest starting out at a minimum 20 thousandths jump (if your magazine feeding make sure you can feed this length reliably or else you should be doing max mag length minus 10 thousandths).

do load development then seat deeper from there to fine tune

ELD-Ms seem to like a 0.020" jump, and I believe if you call Hornady and ask, they will tell you the same thing. I found a node in my rifle with 78gr of H1000 in Norma brass, (which has a very liberal case volume compared to others), 208 ELD-M and CCI 250 primer. I chose H1000 over RL26 for the temp stability, personally.

The 208s shoot great in a 300WM with H1000. Used them for years with that combo. I always started at .020" off the lands with AMAX and ELDs and rarely ever have to change. It's a good place to start.

The 212 ELD-X didn't seem to mind how far I jumped them. From .020-to .060 all shot the same once I found my charge weight. They were extremely consistent at distance.

According to direct email from Hornady, the new 208gr ELD~M is a direct replacement

It is a replacement but there are some small changes to the bullet besides the tip to make the BC slightly higher. It will perform similar to the AMAX so load data shouldn't be off much.

    Thanks
I have about 500 of the old style left oin the shelf. I gave them a mail to see what they suggested. I havent had a chance to run the new ones thought yet.
