Picking up my gun from the smith in a few weeks. It’s a Tikka T3, Benchmark barrel, 1-9.5 twist in 300 wsm.
Wrong time to get into a new caliber, but I did score some Nosler brass and stocked up on H4831sc. A buddy also gave me 1.5 lbs of H1000 to try. I have CCI 250’s, but those are the only large rifle primers I have on hand at the moment.
I also managed to find 2 boxes of 200 grain ELD-X and one box of the 212 grainers. Looking at Hodgdon’s reloading data online, 4831sc should give me a little more velocity. Anyone using H1000, or is 4831sc a good place to start for these bullets? Thanks!

H4831sc worked really well for me with the 212 ELDX.

My gap 300 WSM likes 60.0 grains of h4350 (2750 FPS) shooting a berger 210 gr hunting vld. Consistently shoots .5 MOA at 1K yards with a 25 inch varmint contour barrel. The rifle is better than the shooter (and the bipod on concrete.)

I have a fair amount of H4350, but I figured a slower powder was better for the heavies. Might have to give it a shot.
