Would a 300win mag round feed from a 338lap AICS mag by bending the feed lips slightly?

Any help would be great.

Re: 300wm in a 338lap mag

The feed lips on the 300 Win Mag are longer than the feed lips on the 338 Lapua. The rounds may jump out of the magazine to soon feeding from the 338. Just my observation and thoughts. I have not tried this.

Re: 300wm in a 338lap mag

On my 7mm saum im using a 338lm magazine, the feed lips are about half as long as the 300wm magazines.

With mine ive only noticed problems with them jumping out to early is if I push the bolt forward as slow as i can, but my round is a bit shorter than a 300wm.

You should be good to go

Thanks for that.

I'm looking at doing a Savage 300wm and 338lm/edge switch barrel rifle and want to use the longest OAL magazine for it.
