Ive got a 300WM being built for medium to long range hunting purposes. I am wondering if anyone has any experience shooting the Nosler 200gr AccuBonds for a long range hunting bullet. The BC is good, my only concern is that they may not be as finely tuned for the long range application as some of the competitors..

Thanks

Re: 300WM Long Range

I haven't had them out past 300 yards yet but at 300 yards I was getting 2-2.5 inch 5 shot groups while doing load development. I was getting lots of mirage that day so I think I could have done better with them if I had gone out earlier in the day. Best groups with 75-77g of H1000. Savage 110 FCP-K.

Re: 300WM Long Range

They were insanely accurate at 900 yds. in the OEM tube (1:11) of my Tikka. Haven't tried them in my new barrel. My load data wouldn't help you because the barrel was throated way long, but the sweet spot was about 2880 fps over RL22 powder. I could get them to go 3000, but they wouldn't group and fouled really bad.

Re: 300WM Long Range

Ive done some initial load work with them in my Sendero. Couldn't get much better than 1 moa at 100yds with H1000. Tried H4381 and at 70.9 grains was getting under .25 moa. Couldn't tell how fast because I don't have a chrono yet. Hoping to get back out soon and move out a little.

Re: 300WM Long Range

H-1000 75.5 gr 2" or less @300 yds. I think around 2800 fps. I used to use this load exclusively until I started messing around with 210 Bergers. The Bergers buck the wind better it seems.

Re: 300WM Long Range

H-1000. 75.2 grains, .26" @100 yrds, .97"@300. I have no Idea on speed, but only had 1/2" of drop. My question is what will these things to to a whitetail, since I plan on using this once season opens....
