300wsm 208amax load

Have been shooting 178 amax in my surgeon 300wsm but would really like to try some 208 amax now. Have about 6 lbs of H1000 and was wondering if that powder could work. Just seeing if anyone is shooting this combo and had a good place to start and what book max is? Running seekins wsm DBM so have plenty of room loaded to lands to still mag feed. Any help would be appreciated.

It'll work with H1000 however you may not have the case capacity to hit pressure before you have a very compressed load. I used to shoot a lot of R19 with 208's out of a 22" wsm. H4831 works well too.

I use R22 with 210 bergers and they work great.
