Hi,

I posted this on another forum but haven't been able to find a solution. I need a mag for a no.4 mk2 that was lost in a car accident many years ago. I understand that each mag was "fitted" specifically to a rifle and serial numbered etc.

However, I haven't found a mag that will work but still may require some fitting.

I bought a promag off Brownells a while back, but its obvious it aint going to work no matter the amount of custom "fitting". Was a waste of money.

Anyone know where to get / find a mag for the no.4 mk2? I know there was some commonality between some of the different no's and mk's where mags for one would work for other models. I believe the no.5 mags reportedly would work in no.4 mk2's but....

Thank you for any advice.

The magazines between No4 (both MkI and Mk2's) and No5's were all the same. Liberty tree has some NOS mags but they aren't cheap...

The fitting issue is legitimate but in my experience a bit overstated. Some do need fitting but I've found more often real mags, not repro knockoffs, are more often than not interchangeable.

Thank you, will check this out.
