.308; 149 vs 168, vs 175...?

Is there a thread or ballistic table, or can any of you help this 308 newbie understand some of the downrange differences in the different weights?
Also, the xm80... do we like it? and what for?

I'm looking at some of the ammo out there for sale & trying to understand the downrange differences before I plop down a buck or two.
What is the 149gr xm80 like?

Please tell us more detail about the rifle and what are you plan to use the ammo for? If this is just general question and for all around factory load ammo I would go with 168 gr. I'm sure some of the ammo guru will chime in about the downrange question.

Pick one and shoot it alot and you will learn which one is better as you evolve in the sport.
