308 "beanfield" loads to cull deer

Rifle is a m70 fwt in .308 or a Tikka in 308 or a AR10. My farmer is going to plant beans this coming spring and last time he did the deer just wrecked them awful. Ranges will be 300/350 yards. Has anyone used the Berget flatbased target 150gr on deer? I use Nosler 125 BT on deer for shorter ranges but figured to go up to 150 gr for the longer shots. 155 Seirra matching palma or are they both just for paper? Deer on the small side here in Kentucky.

Hornady 155 eld. Fast, flat shooting, incredibly accurate in my rifle.

That's not very far at all unless you don't know how to shoot. Anything from gucci loads to core-lokts will rekt them.

Hit em in the pump room, 168SMK's will put em down fine. People report the ELDM bullets work well too.

My go to for crop damage hunts is Sierra Game Kings.

ELD-ms work well, they tend to grenade a bit on impact, I found copper blended nicely into the goo that was a set of deer lungs

Just behind the shoulder also got a nice pass through and a large exit hole

Mine too, easy load workup like the matchking but the soft point blows it open for pretty damn effective results.
