.308 black hills match brass

Re: .308 black hills match brass

I don't know if it's "just Winchester" brass. I'd bet Winchester makes it though, but I don't know what line it is. The Black Hills match .223 is made by Winchester and shoots great for 77's.

Is BHA and Win brass considered interchangable as far as reloads go? Is it just the same brass with a different headstamp on it? Or dimensionally different on the inside?

I would guess it's the same, but don't know that for a fact. Personally, I never mix headstamps for any reloading.

Re: .308 black hills match brass

The only thing I would say is that the Black Hills brass (at least what I have) loads about about .002" smaller in diameter in the neck than Winchester I have. Plus if you use fired Black Hills ammo for your supply of brass, the primer pockets are crimped in with a minor crimp.

The Black Hills factory ammo is excellent stuff!
