Having a .308 chambered up and I want to run 175/178's to practice and attend schools with but want to be able run 185 Juggernauts in competition in case my 6.5 goes down and have to run the 308 as a back up.

What would be a reamer to use without having a custom one made.

Could I use a Obermeyer or Bisley reamer and be able to load the 185's at 2.86 and still get decent velocity and great accuracy?
Those are the two reamers I have to choose from at the moment.

You probably want something with .090-.100 freebore. I have the standard 308 win match reamer and I believe it's .091 fb. I have about .030 jump with 178 Amax at 2.810coal.

My 95 Palma reamer with 175 SMK is ~2.805 touching lands with my current lot.
My 95 Palma reamer with 185 Juggernaut is ~2.860 touching lands with my current lot.

A Bisley has ~.042" longer freebore than the 95 Palma. A Bisley chamber will typically have a ~.050" longer OAL with 175 SMK than a Palma so it's my guess with a Bisley and Juggernauts you'll be over 2.860" OAL. I have not loaded the Jugernauts in a Bisley chamber to say for sure.

Comparing a Juggernaut to 175 SMK the Jug is ~.055" longer from the point the ogive is touching the lands (not a comparator but actual lands in a barrel) to the tip than a 175 SMK in a Palma chamber.
