Bueller......Bueller........Bueller..... I have a 16" Gunner sitting in a box waiting for 2A to get to a certain SN receiver set to complete my build; I know that does not help. In regards to Faxon barrels, I do have 20" Heavy Fluted Match 6.5 barrel that's performing quite well. Their barrels are nitrided and sometimes the chambers need some slight polishing due to the nitriding process. My brass looked like the pic below when first fired, so I sent pics to Faxon and immediately responded and informed me they see that occasionally due to the nitriding. They also informed me it would eventually go away, but offered to sent me a return label so they could polish the chamber for me if I liked. Their customer service is great. Being that I "bedded " the barrel with 620 Loctite and the rifle is shooting very well, I did not want to take it off, so I plan to polish it with JB Bore paste or some 600 grit lapping compound; I'm trying JB first. The marks while visible on the brass, are not deep enough to be felt and do not seem to impede cycling in any way. This is my first Faxon barrel and for sure, will not be my last.
