Looking to order a Gas Block for an Armalite AR-10 build. I have a question about the gas blocks in regards to two offered from PRI. Both are steel and for 0.936-in barrels.

Will this gas block work on an AR-10? Is the gas port hole the same lateral distance from the shoulder on an AR-10 as the AR-15?

Or do I really need the 308 version from PRI? It is longer than the AR-15 version and has 3 securing screws.

Re: 308 Gas Blocks.

You didn't say which barrel that you have chosen.

ARMALITE no longer goes with the 0.936" gas block for their
T barrels but go with 0.875" at the journal.

The chrome-lined AR-10 barrels are 0.750" at the journal.

Re: 308 Gas Blocks.

As long as the ID hole of the gas block is the same as the OD of the barrel then you are GTG.
No difference in AR15 and AR10 for the most part.
