Figured I'd strike out and do a bit more than interject random banter in the forum and actually post a group.

remiglockoholic,

Good shooting there buddy.
I'm using the 170 LB in the AW, and also the Remmy, sitting in an AICS. The biggest group I got was .960, I measure all my groups from outer edge to outer edge.
COAL is 2.820 for both rifles. Powder I'm using at the moment is Varget with 44.8 in the case.
It's averaging 2765 fps. ( No signs of pressure )

I remember a few years back, Lapua had their 170LB advertised at 2820 fps. This was a warm load. I had a look at their website they seem to have changed their load to 2750 fps.
Must also mention that they are using N550 as their powder.

If you get a chance to shoot it at the longs, I'd like to know how it performs. eg, 800,900,1000 metres/yards.

Temp 29 c, Baro 1004 hPa,
DA 696, Humidity 60%, Wind between 2 and 5 m/s, from 1 to 2o' clock ( 4 to 11 mph )

With the conditions above I had a go at 1035 metres. I noticed the bullet holes in the paper...( not all the shots ) but some were just starting to go oblong. Not full keyhole.
I'm thinking they are not handling the transonic zone too well?
More testing to be done on the longs to be certain I think.
