308 Speed Question

ran some loads over the Magentospeed V3 yesterday, avg was 2985; 155 Nosler CC over 46.9 of Varget, does that sound right?

RP brass, wolf primers, 27" Krieger, no signs of pressure

seemed fast, so I ran some 243 and they were right where I expected them to be

Its right for your rifle as long as their is no signs of pressure on any of your fired cases and it groups as tight as you need it to.

What speeds were you expecting?

I don’t think this is an unreasonable result. 42gr of H4895 gets me over 2700fps with a 155 Scenar out of an 18.5” barrel.

wasn't expecting nearly 3Kfps, figured closer to 2800-2850.

no signs of pressure, no measurable case expansion near the web, 1 ragged hole (10 shots) at 100y, 21fps extreme spread
