Finally got together with my buddy to try the loads I made up for him for his 308 DMPS, with a Gem tech, 11.25:12 twist, Barrel length was 16".
First 3 rounds was fired from a clean bore without the can to check for tumblers. They all stabilized and was within the velocity range we wanted. They did not cycle the action however, it recoiled just enough to set the bolt back a 1/4".
The load was 10.5gr of Trail Boss, out of RA brass with Winchester WLR primers and 150gr RN 30-30 bullets set to a OAL of 2.550".
It shot Sub-MOA at 75yds, if you discount the first three round it was 1/2 MOA or less. At 75yds the POA/POI was -8". At 100yds we had a 10 shot group at 3/4 MOA.
The loudest noise was the bullet impacting the target board.
