I am shooting a Savage 10FCP 5r HS, 24" barrel, using Lapua brass, 47.0 gr Alliant 2000MR, CCI 200 primers, Berger 185gr VLD's, Elev. 5300', Temp. 65deg F, Density altitude 7350'.
The problem or lack of is that I am getting velocitiy of 2800 fps, with no pressure signs. Primers aren't flattend, no cratering, micked cases and only 0.0008 increase in diameter. I am full length resizing with a bushing die.
Great groups, shooting 0.5" at 100 yds. No problem with ringing 12" gong at 800 yds, even in 25 mph winds. Been practicing for Sniper Hide shoot, and its always windy in Wyoming.
Should I be concerned. I am watching for increase in pressure if temps rise.
