The bottom left is 43.3gr, bottom right 43.6gr, top left 45.8gr, top right 45.1gr.
I think the rifle is starting to tighten back up and i pulled two on the 45.1 gr target, I have loaded more of each of these to test at 100 and probably 300 yards.
My question is: Is there anyone who is shooting around 43.3-43.6 gr Varget and have chronographed it? Or maybe you can give a guess to how fast these should be moving.

Im shooting a factory 24" barrel and using winchester brass.
Thanks, TJ

Z,
Every barrel/chamber has small variations that can greatly affect velocity. Varget is a stable powder but temperature will still have a slight affect on velocity. If you do not have a Chronograph you will have to back into your velocity using a ballistic program by gathering data from drops out to as far as you can. I do this anyway because I don’t have 100% faith in my chrono. The best thing to do is get a load that shoots solid groups in the best possible velocity node without signs of pressure, then backing into your velocity by gathering dope. For planning purposes 2700 fps should keep you on paper out to 600

in my .308 upper with a 24" 1:12 Kreiger using LC-90 brass, 210M primers I got a velocity of aprox 2620fps with 43gr of Varget, and 2760ish with 45gr of Varget and the 175SMK or 175gr Nosler (same bullet).

Untill last year I used this upper for Palma and it needed 45gr to get out to 1000yds. So if you're going to do 1000yd work you'll need the heavier charge.

I am getting around 2550-2560 with 44.5g of varget. This is out of a remington tactical using a 175smk, I have shot a few CC's at the same charge weight but didnt crono them. The tactical wears a 20" barrel and my 26" varmint runs the same load about 100fps faster, both of those are factory barrels. Again the same load in my custom barrel (rock creek) 21.75" long runs slightly faster than the varmint with 175's.

If I were to guess, a 24" factory remington barrel with 43.5g should be somewhere around 2550 +/- 25fps.
