Gunsmithing .338 Lapua Barrel Length vs Twist Rate ?

I currently have a .338 Lapua with a 27" Shilen Select Match Grade barrel and 1/10 Twist.

The chamber needs to be re-cut, and I am also looking at shortening the barrel significantly to help with stiffness & timing.

Does anyone know if I can trim this down to a 20" barrel & still get away with the 1/10 Twist?

I know I will be loosing a few FPS due to powder burn, but stiffness & accuracy are my main concerns.

1:10 is will stabilize anything up to 300gr no problem, even at a measly 2500fps, which I suspect, you'll be faster than anyway.
