Can someone tell me what the brass neck thickness range is for new lapua brass in .338 lapua?? I've read somewhere that it was .015-.016" in neck thickness but can someone verify this??

    Thanks!

That's about right for my older (ca 2005) Lapua and Norma brass. Figure .015" for unturned necks and you'll be correct more often, than not.

    Thanks chris

I was going to turn down to an even .015" for a clean up.. Just trying to get dimensions for a reamer without having the components yet...

Have you ever had any necks measure less than .015" thick??

Yeah, .0145" sounds familiar, but it's been years since I measured my 338LM brass.

I'm using a .365" TiNi bushing, FWIW, for ~.002" of tension, but I don't turn my necks, so this doesn't help you out much.

Just see what you see. Neck turners are adjustable and unless you HAVE to turn your necks due to you having a tight throat, you'll just be cleaning ~80% of the necks, anyhow.
