.338 Neck sizing die set/Full length sizer

I am new to this caliber and to the Type S neck sizing set by Redding. On the 2nd firing the bolt was a little heavy to open. This time I bumped the shoulder back a little more and trimmed cases to lentgh. They are chambering pretty tight. I guess my question is how often do you guy have to full lenght resize with this caliber?

My rifle has a match chamber, so I FL after every firing. I initially tried neck sizing but like you found it was too tight the second time around. The good thing about the S die though is that while you're bumping the shoulder with the FL die, it's also got a neck bushing, so you're getting a consistent neck tension as well.

FL size every time regardless of caliber or cartridge.
