338 Rum load data

Im picking up my 338 RUM rifle, 29 1/2 inches long 10 twist barrel Rem 721 action. I did some research, not much came up for the Berger 300gn bullets for the Rum, so I need some input for a starting point so I can start loading some bullets. Not sure what powder would be best H1000 or Retumbo for the 300gn bullets.

Any help would be appreciated.

I use H1K in my 300 RUM, i have heard more mixed things about retumbo. Retumbo is good for velocity but i think the H1K is more consistent and less sensitive (if i remember correctly)

check out reloaders nest, there has to be some decent loads on the site, and a lot of the time people post their whole work up from light load to pressure signs.

also find a manual with some loads and numbers in it.
