338LM reloading dies

Re: 338LM reloading dies

I'm rockin the Forster die set (FL sizer, and their Benchrest Seater). I also use the Redding Competition Shell Holder set to back the case .010" out of the FL sizer die since this sizes the brass enough to chamber in my rifle without overworking it.

Eventually I would like to have Lee build me a custom collet neck sizer (they'll do this for $100) and use a Redding Body Die to bump the shoulder as needed.

Re: 338LM reloading dies

I ended up with one of the Forster BR seaters... couldn't find an Ultra seater at the time I was looking, and I'm about at the point where I'm not willing to pay Redding's asking price for their Competition seaters in non-standard calibers. Honestly, after using the regular BR seater (same thing as the Ultra but without the micrometer top) I'm starting to think those may be the deal of the century

I did cough up the $$$ for a Redding Type 'S' F/L bushing die, though.

Re: 338LM reloading dies

I got redding competition neck, normal f/l (with the comp shellholders to adjust bump), and the redding micrometer comp. Seater...working well so far. I did mount them in hornady quick-change bushings in my rockchucker...talk about easy!

Re: 338LM reloading dies

When I get the my 338 dies I plan on getting the redding type S full length bushing die with the .365 ti nitride bushing with a carbide ubgraded expander and the Micrometer comp seater die. With those two dies, you should be set up and make really good ammo.
