Ok, I'm working on a new load for my 338RUM. I have tried ladder and OCW for 869, H1000 and Retumbo with pretty good first run results running 250 OTM's.
Now, I have 300 OTM's 300 SMK and 285 Hornady Match to play with. My question is, I would like to burn up my big supply of IMR-4350. Has anyone played with the heavier bullets with IMR-4350? My books show H-4350 data for a 285gr but not up to 300's(nothing over 250's for IMR4350). I know its a faster powder, but have some of you tried it and had good results with 300's?
I've seen IMR4350 load data for the 338LM up to 300gr projectiles, but not for the RUM.
