thanks! i heard that they want to offer the same tube as s&b and uso as well as ior and premier.i also heard they have been swamped with requests for a zero stop for the 8-32,i hope this is true as i am waiting for that to happen.
Fugly, spoke with my guy at NF and he says he knows nothing about a 34mm tubed version. Also on the ZS, they do get some requests for the 8-32 but it is not likely to be an option anytime in the next year. Sorry.
Sorry again but go with a 5.5-22 and get it. The 5.5-22 has plenty of magnification and you can get the ZS. Mine shipped 2 days ago and I can't wait to get it in. I run 2 3.5-15x50 F1s now and they have enough magnification to see a 5" dot at 1000 yards. The 5.5-22 will give more than that. I have used one on a 408 CheyTac to shoot to 2000 yards on an MOA sized target.
Let's see 34 mm, ZS, FFP, 5-25. You can wait forever on NF or just get an S%B and have it Tue. Not much choice as I see it. Better scope now or wait and hope forever. And cost wise, once you add all those options, the difference will not be all that much. And S&B has the bugs worked out now.
Let's see, he was talking about a SFP scope and not a FFP, with the ZS the 5.5-22 is around $1800 which is about $1300 less than a S&B, and the NF has as much internal eleavation as the S&B without needing a 34mm tube.
Also the wait for a FFP with high mag than the present F1 isn't very much longer and like the F1 it will have the kinks worked out. NF isn't new to the scope business.
I would be nice if NF had more windage adjustment.I have the 12-42 NXS and it has about 32moa or +-16 moa which is not enough on very windy days on the 1000yd range that I shoot on. I need +- 25moa since winds will go that high and I have to aim on the upwind target that gives me an extra 10moa.
Ok they are planning on making a 34mm tube but it sounds like its a mil/leo thing. Its gonna be expensive. I wish they would put the ZS on the 32 as well but it sounds like they are not going to do that any time soon i heard the same as rob...

Mike,
If you mean in the first revolution of the turret, that would be sweet. At the same time I like the space with the firm clicks on the elevation turret now. It might make them too close on the .1 mil clicks unless they redesigned the size of the erector assembly - perhaps not. If there is a way NF can do it.
I agree in liking the spacing and 5 mils per turn. With the zero stop you won't get lost and even with my .308 it only takes 2 turns to get to 1000. Not a real issue. If they do redesign to keep the spacing tat would be fine but I wouldn't want them jammed together just to get more per revolution.
