3lb Velocity Trigger Question

Installed my 3lb Velocity trigger no issues straightforward. I’ve been dry firing and had one range trip on it. Very little travel and breaks clean.

Issue is the pull weight measures 5-5.5 lbs on my Wheeler gauge. I made no adjustments when I installed because I was under impression none were needed.

Anyone find their Velocity trigger pull weight was 2lbs over?

Dumb question. Did you lock down the set screws?

I would try a different gauge. I can't imagine it's that far over.

Yes and put the additional screws provided on top of the set screws to prevent back out

Yep it’s the Wheeler gauge with the spring and sliding indicator. Pretty basic.

Don't take this the wrong way but are you sure its not sliding up on the trigger and getting a higher reading that way?

Yep

Put the guage at 5 different places on the trigger and you will get 5 different measurements. Pull from the tip and the trigger will measure comparatively light. Pull from near the receiver and it will be comparatively heavy.
