I was at the MAX show today and a vendor had a Redfield 3x9 Accurange M-40 scope. The scope tube and bell was green colored but the front bell portion was a little lighter shade of green. The vendor said the scope must have been repaired in the field. The magnification ring was black. The scope did have serial numbers but I didn't copy them down. The vendor was asking $2,300 or $2,400 for the scope. Is this in the ball park for an original Redfield M-40 scope? Thanks..PAT.

Re: 3x9 Redfield (M-40 Scope)

Pat, the anodized accurange scopes had a tendency for the color to fade in stages. It is not unusual to find accuranges in all shades of green and brown. For a nice scope in good condition, I consider $2300 to be a good price. Chris from SWFA bought a nice accurange a few years ago for around this price. heres a link to that one.
